Who We Are
Women of Wastequip (WOW) is an employee-led initiative dedicated to supporting, mentoring, and advancing women in the manufacturing and waste industries. As an extension of Wastequip, LLC, our mission is to empower women at all career levels by providing opportunities for professional development, leadership growth, and meaningful connections.
We believe that when women are supported, industries thrive. That’s why WOW is committed to breaking down barriers, fostering an inclusive workplace, and championing the next generation of female leaders.
How WOW Was Formed
The idea for WOW was sparked in June 2019 during a transformative Women’s Development Workshop hosted by Wastequip.

This workshop, led by Erika Migliaccio, Founder & Principal Consultant at Upstream HR Strategies, and Kim Faith, author and inspirational speaker, encouraged participants to take ownership of their leadership journey.
Inspired by this message, attendees recognized the need for an ongoing platform to support women within Wastequip and beyond. This led to the formation of WOW—an employee resource group committed to empowering women, fostering career growth, and driving industry-wide change.
